Requirement Materials :
Here are the materials we need to draw the Alligator picture.
- White paper
- Pencil
- Pencil sharpener
- Eraser
- Color Box
- Tissue paper
Step 1 –
Draw the tail of the alligator.
To begin, take a white sheet of paper and draw margins around it, leaving half an inch of space on all sides. This will help you draw the alligator evenly. Start by drawing the tail of the alligator, beginning from thick to narrow towards the back. Don’t forget to add thorns on the tail for that unique alligator look.
Step 2 –
Draw the eyes, face, nose, and body of the alligator.
Next, draw the body of the alligator. Make it long and add big teeth to the face. Draw two small circles for the eyes and two more for the nose. Now, draw the middle thorn on the body of the alligator from the neck to the tail.
Step 3 –
Draw the legs of the alligator.
Alligators typically have four legs, but we’ll focus on drawing three in this tutorial. Draw the alligator’s legs under its body, and make sure to draw the toes nicely. Alligators use these legs for walking and hunting.
Step 4 –
Draw thorns all over the body of the alligator.
Now it’s time to add the characteristic thorns all over the alligator’s body. These thorns have a triangular appearance and serve as protection against other animals. Few animals on earth have such unique features!
Step 5 –
Paint the body and legs of the alligator.
Let’s add some color to our drawing! Use green to fill in the body of the alligator and lighten the shade for a vibrant look. For an extra touch, color the body from head to tail with blue. If you want to color the feet, use a lighter shade of blue to darken the toes.
Step 6 –
Paint the thorns, eyes, and nose of the alligator.
Continuing with the coloring process, use a darker green shade to paint the thorns on the alligator’s body. Then, fill in the eyes and nose with black color. Darken the green under the alligator and gently rub it with a tissue. Don’t forget to brighten up the teeth of the alligator for a friendly look.
Step 7 –
Give a border around the body of the alligator.
To make the alligator drawing stand out, use a black marker pen to draw a border around its body. Mark the thorns with the same black marker to enhance their appearance.
