Requirement Materials :

Here are the materials we need to draw this picture.

  • White paper
  • Pencil
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Eraser
  • Color Box
  • Tissue paper

1. Draw Margins Outside the Drawing Paper.

To enhance the overall look of your drawing, start by drawing margins around the page with the help of a scale. These margins will frame your artwork beautifully.

2. Draw a Big Circle.

In the center of the page, draw a big circle that slightly resembles an oval. This will be the sloth’s head, the focal point of your drawing.

3. Create Eye Structures.

Instead of directly drawing the eyes, create eye structures that look like crooked fingers on both sides of the circle. Make sure the structures are symmetrical.

4. Draw the Sloth’s Nose and Mouth.

Position the sloth’s nose in the center of the eye structures and draw a small square just below it for the mouth.

5. Draw the Sloth’s Eyes.

At the end of each eye structure, draw two round eyes. Add stars in the middle of the eyes to give your sloth a charming look. Make one eye bigger than the other for added personality.

6. Draw the Sloth’s Eyebrows.

Position the eyebrows just above the eyes. Sloths are known for their gentle smiles, so draw small, thick eyebrows to reflect this expression.

7. Draw Sloth’s Hands.

The sloth’s arms should be half-rectangular and long. Depict small fingers and large, strong, and stiff fingernails. Draw one hand as if the sloth is waving or saying “hi.”

8. Add Hair to Its Head.

Sloths usually have a bit of bushy hair on their heads. Draw the hair to resemble a little bush.

9. Give the Whole Body and Head a Yellow Color.

Color the sloth’s entire body with a yellow oil pastel. Gently rub it with tissue paper to achieve a more yellowish appearance.

10. Color the Eye Structures, Nails, and Face Brown.

Use brown color for the eye structures, nose, and nails. Apply brown oil pastel and a brown rule pencil on top.

11. Add Light Brown Shading on the Yellow Color.

Using a brown rule pencil, add light brown shading on the yellow areas to create a textured look.

12. Give a Light Yellow Shade to the Face.
