Coldplay Rocks 'Saturday Night Live' With Heartfelt Performances Of Iconic Hits And New Single

Yesterday, February 4, Coldplay was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. A choir sang with them.

Last month, it was confirmed that Coldplay would be the musical guest on the episode of Saturday Night Live that Pedro Pascal hosted.

The band played on SNL before, in November 2019. They played "Orphans" and "Everyday Life" from their album of the same name.

Yesterday, Coldplay took the stage and played "The Astronaut," a song they wrote with Jin from BTS. They followed that with a mix of "Human Heart" from "Music of the Spheres" and the classic "Fix You" from "X&Y."

In honour of Jimmy Kimmel Live20th !'s anniversary, Coldplay played "Clocks" on the show at the end of last month.

Coldplay just announced that they will be playing four new shows in North America, and tickets are now on sale. The band will also go on a tour of Europe and the United Kingdom after they go back to South America for a series of rescheduled headlining shows.

The band has also given hints that their new album, "Moon Music," is almost done. Chris Martin, the lead singer, said, "We're almost done with an album called "Moon Music," which is the second volume of "Music of the Spheres," but it won't be out for a while. At some point this year, we might start singing.

At the end of last year, Coldplay said they were back in the studio and gave a list of artists they were listening to, including The 1975, Inhaler, and Stormzy.

They have also hinted at working with Nile Rodgers, the guitarist for Chic. "What was great about working with Coldplay is that we're all in the room together, and it's kind of like a spiritual thing," said Rodgers, adding that he "had a blast" with the band.
