No cause of death has been reported yet, and his family stated he passed peacefully at home in Austin.

Hollis rose to prominence during his tenure as theatrical distribution head of Disney  overseeing massive franchises such as Marvel Studios' Avengers and Star Wars  and the smash hit Frozen.

Under Hollis' leadership, Disney became the first studio to surpass $7 billion in global box office grosses in a single year.

Hollis helped launch the career of his estranged wife, author and lifestyle influencer Rachel Hollis.

In 2018, he left Disney to move to Austin with Rachel, where they built a brand called The Hollis Company.

Hollis went on to become a lifestyle influencer and author in his own right, releasing two self-help books and a children's book.

Following his split from Rachel, Hollis began a relationship with fitness influencer Heidi Powell, and they partnered to launch the Get Fit community.
