Virginia Beach, Virginia is recovering from a tornado that damaged up to 100 homes and prompted a state of emergency.

The tornado hit the Great Neck area of the city around 6 p.m. Sunday, causing collapsed roofs and gas leaks.

No injuries have been reported, but Cox High School, Great Neck Middle School and John B. Dey Elementary School are closed.
